Pre & Post-Procedure LAMS Precautions

1) Meal Requirement
Please make sure to eat a meal before your LAMS procedure. It can help reduce dizziness or tremors caused by medication absorption.

2) Appropriate Clothing
Please wear loose-fitting and dark clothes on the day of your LAMS procedure, as swelling may appear.

3) No Anti-obesity Medication
Please do not take any anti-obesity medication (diet pills) on the day of your LAMS procedure.

4) No Driving
On the day of your LAMS procedure, symptoms such as dizziness may occur. Please refrain from driving, and use public transportation before and after your appointment.

5) No Alcohol
Please avoid drinking alcohol on the day of your LAMS procedure.

6) For Thighs LAMS Patients
Please bring leggings, tights, and a girdle on the procedure day. Wearing leggings and other items for 24 hours post-procedure will help to reduce dizziness and bruising.

7) For Face LAMS Patients
Please come to your appointment with a makeup-free face. It’s also recommended to bring a mask and a hat, as bruising and swelling may occur.

1) Taking Antibiotics
The 3-day medication prescribed on the day of your LAMS procedure is essential for preventing inflammation, so please make sure to take it as instructed.

2) Dizziness
You may experience continued dizziness for the first 24 hours after the procedure. If this occurs, please sit down until it improves, and move slowly afterwards to prevent recurrence.

3) Fluid Discharge
Immediately after the procedure, the injected solution may leak and appear reddish in color.
If there is a lot of fluid, gently wipe it with a clean towel, and replace the gauze if needed. (When removing the gauze, do so slowly, and disinfect the area with povidone antiseptic before applying the new gauze if possible.)

4) Post-Procedure Symptoms
Numbness, swelling, slight pain, bruising, lumps, and redness in the area of the incision are normal reactions and will naturally subside within a few days to a few weeks. If your side-effects are severe, please contact your branch or our call center.

5) Aftercare
To enhance the effectiveness of your procedure, please make sure to attend your branch within the 6-10 days after your procedure to receive aftercare. Reaching your goal weight also helps maximize the effect of your LAMS procedure!

1) Hydration for Recovery
Drink plenty of water to reduce swelling and improve circulation.

2) Showering
You can shower 24 hours after LAMS. Make sure to thoroughly dry the incision site after showering.
Saunas, half-body baths, and full baths are only allowed once scabs have fully formed on the treated area.

3) Steri-Strip
Do not remove the Steri-Strip bandages yourself. Let them fall off naturally during showering or daily activities.

4) Sports
Light activity, like walking, is allowed on the day of your LAMS procedure. Although it varies by the individual, please avoid strenuous exercise for 1–2 weeks.

5) No Acupressure & Massage
Applying strong pressure to the treated area may cause severe bruising. We recommend avoiding this for at least one week after the procedure.

6) No Cold & Hot Compress
You may experience numbness or a tingling sensation after the procedure due to reduced sensitivity in the treated area. Please avoid using cold or hot compresses, as well as heated blankets, for one week.

1) Fluid Discharge
Immediately after the procedure, the injected solution may leak and appear reddish in color. If there is a lot of fluid, gently wipe it with a clean towel and replace the gauze if needed. Physical activity may cause continued leakage, so please avoid strenuous movement.

2) Post-Procedure Symptoms
Pain, swelling, bruising, firmness, and a sense of discomfort are normal after LAMS. While individual experiences may vary, these symptoms typically improve naturally within a few weeks to a few months.

3) Face Washing
You can wash your face starting the day after the procedure. After washing your face, make sure to thorouhgly dry the incision site.

4) Face Compression Band
Please wear the compression band for the first 24 hours after the procedure. For the first 3 days, keep it on as much as possible, and after that we recommend wearing it for 1–2 hours at a time throughout the day for best results.

5) Care of the Treatment Area
Leave the Steri-Strip bandages on the LAMS wound area until they fall off naturally. After the Steri-Strips fall off, it recommended to apply a recovery bandage (like DuoDERM) for continued healing. If the wound has already healed, you do not need to apply this bandage.

1) Grafted Area
Please avoid touching the grafted area or engaging in activities that may put pressure on it, such as running or jumping. Acupressure and massage are prohibited.

2) Incision Site
Steri-Strip bandages, cotton, and gauze pads will be applied to both the grafted area and the LAMS incision site. The cotton and gauze pads can be removed and you make a shower after 24 hours. The Steri-Strip bandages must be left on until they fall off naturally.

3) Weight Management
Please do not gain or lose weight during the first month after your procedure, as the grafted fat needs time to settle.

4) Sleeping Position
Please avoid sleeping on your side for 2 weeks to 1 month after the procedure.

5) Sauna & Hot Baths
Saunas, steam rooms, and baths are allowed starting one month after the procedure.

6) No Heat Compresses
Due to the risk of low-temperature burns due to numbness, avoid using hot compresses, heating pads or electric blankets on the LAMS and transplant sites for one week.

7) No Alcohol & Smoking
To prevent inflammation, please avoid alcohol and smoking for 2 months after the procedure.
